Review of the JP Marine Red Sea liveaboard

Awesome 1st livaboaed experience. It is nice to dive with JP marine. It is my 1st liveboard but definitely not the last one . Met a bunch of great divers from all over the world and by the end of trip , we all feels like a big family. The boat crews are really friendly and helpful. The only down side is that in some nights the cabin AC was not functioning 100% so it was a little hot. And I wish the the ratio between the divers and guide should be around 6-7 to 1 but not 13 to 1 in my trip.” Recommended for: Really friendly and helpful crew. Nice dive sites. Very delicious food.

Xun Z, Canada – 9.2 out of 10, rated Superb and 4.5 stars.

Review of the Emperor Echo Red Sea liveaboard

Awesone trip.We were first time Red Sea divers, so were astounded with the coral and fish. Dive briefings were very thorough, safety was emphasized but we were allowed to do our own dive. The boat had recently been refitted, so was in good shape. Crew was friendly. Food was good. Sonia our divemaster was great. Overall it was good value for the money, we enjoyed the diving and the trip.” Recommended forThe three best things were: Dive master Sonia, the itenary, the price.

The Scuba Diving Earth Luxury Rating (SDE Lux Rating) is explained on each liveaboard review when you click the “Discover Liveaboard” link, and is my own Liveaboard Luxury Rating I’ve assigned to all liveaboards. Choosing between liveaboards is helped by customer scores, and if you get stuck choosing between two or three liveaboards, where each one has a high customer score out of 10, you can use the SDE Luxury Rating to help narrow down your choice.

Think about it like using Booking.com when searching for the best hotel. Booking.com also use a customer score where each customer rates hotels out of 10. This is similar to the liveaboard customer rating, which is also rated out of 10. But let’s say you only like to stay in hotels rated 8 and above on Booking.com, but you also want the hotel to have WIFI or parking, or to have a swimming pool etc. The features each hotel has is usually secondary to the score out of 10.
