There are great white sharks in Pensacola from possibly around late November through to April, when the waters off the coast off Pensacola in the Gulf of Mexico drop to the preferred water temperature for great white sharks, which is between 12-24°C (54-75 °F).
The similarities between snorkeling and scuba diving are they both require a mask, snorkel and fins, together with an exposure suit to match the water temperature. Both allow you to enjoy the underwater world and are taught by all major diving organisations.
White Shark Café is in the Pacific Ocean about half way between Baja California coast and Hawaii. Great white sharks from the Farallon Islands near San Francisco, Mexico’s Guadalupe Island and Hawaii migrate along the Great White Highway to this deep ocean zone and reside there from April to July.
The Great White Highway is a migration route that runs approximately 1,250 miles into the Pacific Ocean, roughly half way to Hawaii. The Great White Highway begins on Mexico’s Baja coast and California’s coast and runs west to White Shark Café, where great white sharks gather from April to July.

Sand found in the tropics is estimated to contain up to 85% fish poop from parrotfish. Parrotfish eat coral by scrapping it away and inevitably bite off much of the limestone coral skeleton too, as they eat the living coral. It is this limestone that passes through their gut and pooped out as sand.
Bull sharks are extremely aggressive animals and are known to attack people, but not on purpose. Bull sharks are dangerous because they are aggressive creatures and because they migrate up rivers, as they can live in freshwater and salt water alike, which brings them into close contact with people.
Hammerhead sharks can be aggressive to humans, even when non provoked, and have attacked over 130 people, which resulted in 34 unprovoked fatalities. Tiger sharks are also aggressive hunters in the wild and can often be found hunting in the shallows off beaches in Florida.
There are hammerhead sharks in Florida, which include solitary great hammerhead sharks and groups of scalloped hammerheads. The huge great hammerhead shark can be found patrolling Florida’s beaches for food, which includes blacktip sharks. Whilst hammerheads come close to humans on Florida’s beaches, it’s rare they attack people as they don’t eat humans.
Miami Beach snorkeling isn’t that special to snorkel, as it is mostly sandy bottom, but the waters are warm, shallow with mostly good visibility so you can see the seabed. You will see reef fish, crabs and stingrays, and the further you swim from the shoreline the more interesting it becomes.
