Serenity Liveaboard Review - Expert Guide to Choosing Your Liveaboard

Russell Bowyer here. I've written this Serenity Liveaboard review to help you confidently choose and book the right liveaboard. As a qualified diving instructor and Advanced BSAC Diver with 500+ dives worldwide, I've helped countless divers pick their perfect liveaboard - whether it's your first time liveaboard or you're an experienced diver seeking your next adventure.

Read more about Russell's diving experience

My diving experience spans cold-water UK drysuit dives, warm coral reefs in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and South Africa. As a former BSAC Diving Officer and diving instructor, I've taught many people to dive and taken a lot of the divers I taught on their first dive. I also used to organise and run dive trips in the UK, with one of my favourites being expeditions to the Farne Islands to dive with the seals. I've logged every type of dive: decompression stop deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives, night dives, drift dives, and everything in between. This hands-on experience means I know exactly what makes a great liveaboard experience, having dived from liveaboards myself and loved it. This is why I came up with the SDE Liveaboard Rating* to help you choose the best liveaboard for you.

Customer review from Liveaboard.com

Awesome liveaboard exceeding expectations. First time on a liveaboard here; I actually think we got lucky booking Serenity and no other boat. All my expectations were exceeded; food was great and varied (no problemo with the tummy), crew was always happy and helping, guides were superb, especially Helal. They were very focused on safety, even doing fire/emergency drills before we set sail. Rooms exceeded expectations as well (upper deck with a view, can recommend). Free snacks were available in infinity. If I'd go again I'd choose this boat (this time we went north.. perhaps south next time?). Itinerary was good and varied :) A lot of cool wrecks varied with beautiful reefs! Guests on the boat were varied in age and gender, but mostly from Europe :)”
