Unforgettable experience. Great crew, felt safe all the time. The diving in Raja Ampat really deserves its reputation as the most beautiful coral reef in the world. Food quality is on par with luxury hotel restaurants and the beach bbq is such an amazingly fun idea. The spa therapists are awesome and the variety of massage types is great to keep things refreshing. This is a luxury cruise so although it might be more expensive than other liveaboards, the value for money is excellent.”

Scubaspa Zen Liveaboard Review - Expert Guide to Choosing Your Liveaboard

Russell Bowyer here. I've written this Scubaspa Zen Liveaboard review to help you confidently choose and book the right liveaboard. As a qualified diving instructor and Advanced BSAC Diver with 500+ dives worldwide, I've helped countless divers pick their perfect liveaboard - whether it's your first time liveaboard or you're an experienced diver seeking your next adventure.

Read more about Russell's diving experience

My diving experience spans cold-water UK drysuit dives, warm coral reefs in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and South Africa. As a former BSAC Diving Officer and diving instructor, I've taught many people to dive and taken a lot of the divers I taught on their first dive. I also used to organise and run dive trips in the UK, with one of my favourites being expeditions to the Farne Islands to dive with the seals. I've logged every type of dive: decompression stop deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives, night dives, drift dives, and everything in between. This hands-on experience means I know exactly what makes a great liveaboard experience, having dived from liveaboards myself and loved it. This is why I came up with the SDE Liveaboard Rating* to help you choose the best liveaboard for you.

Customer review from Liveaboard.com

Scubaspa Zen exceeded all expectations!! Thanks to Dominic and his whole team for making our week one to remember. ... This was truly the best diving and trip experience ever!”

Recommended for: For divers, probably the main reason for choosing Scubaspa over another company is the Dhoni, the separate boat that follows the main vessel and that is used exclusively for the dives. It allows both the guests to leave all their gear on board while allowing the Dhoni crew to prepare your equipment and fill up the tanks for your next dive....Truly a game changer!!. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff is without a doubt the reason to return on the Scubaspa Zen.. The overall quality of food, accomodation, spa, dive experience....to name only a few. You simply don't want to leave the vessel after your stay !.
