Neomi Liveaboard Review - Expert Guide to Choosing Your Liveaboard

Russell Bowyer here. I've written this Neomi Liveaboard review to help you choose the right liveaboard with confidence. As a qualified diving instructor and Advanced BSAC Diver with 500+ dives worldwide, I've helped countless divers pick their perfect liveaboard - whether it's your first time liveaboard or you're an experienced diver seeking your next adventure.

Read more about Russell's diving experience

My diving experience spans cold-water UK drysuit dives, warm coral reefs in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and South Africa. As a former BSAC Diving Officer and diving instructor, I've taught many people to dive and taken a lot of the divers I taught on their first dive. I also used to organise and run dive trips in the UK, with one of my favourites being expeditions to the Farne Islands to dive with the seals. I've logged every type of dive: decompression stop deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives, night dives, drift dives, and everything in between. This hands-on experience means I know exactly what makes a great liveaboard experience, having dived from liveaboards myself and loved it. This is why I came up with the SDE Liveaboard Rating* to help you choose the best liveaboard for you.

Customer review from Liveaboard.com

Best experience in 15 years. Truly exceptional - I can’t be too positive about my experience on Neomi and it was by some distance my best liveaboard in 15 years. It was exceptional from start to finish and in every dimension. I guess the crew can’t take all the credit for the dives. Sharks on every dive- hunting or sleeping, Octupuses, manta, snakes, Nudis, but they knew where to be when and my dive guide Bawa must have eyes on the back of his head. He doesn’t miss a thing. Every member of the crew made me feel at home and so well cared for. Generous, attentive and all with a smile. The food was great and always plenty of it. My cabin was bright, clean and had pristine sheets, a powerful shower and was cleaned daily. I was travelling alone and shared the boat with the owner, Mr Ronnie, and his beautiful family. It was wonderful to be treated like part of his family all week. There is so much more of Indonesia to explore and I will definitely be booking with Neomi.”

Recommended for: Exceptional crew. Exceptional accommodation. Exceptional diving.

My aim; to always give you clear, honest, practical advice, so you can book the right dive boat and enjoy the best possible liveaboard diving holiday, be that on the Neomi or any other liveaboard I've reviewed on Scuba Diving Earth.
