All Star Blackbeard’s Sea Explorer Liveaboard Review - Expert Guide to Choosing Your Liveaboard

Russell Bowyer here. I've written this All Star Blackbeard’s Sea Explorer Liveaboard review to help you choose the right liveaboard with confidence. As a qualified diving instructor and Advanced BSAC Diver with 500+ dives worldwide, I've helped countless divers pick their perfect liveaboard - whether it's your first time liveaboard or you're an experienced diver seeking your next adventure.

Read more about Russell's diving experience

My diving experience spans cold-water UK drysuit dives, warm coral reefs in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and South Africa. As a former BSAC Diving Officer and diving instructor, I've taught many people to dive and taken a lot of the divers I taught on their first dive. I also used to organise and run dive trips in the UK, with one of my favourites being expeditions to the Farne Islands to dive with the seals. I've logged every type of dive: decompression stop deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives, night dives, drift dives, and everything in between. This hands-on experience means I know exactly what makes a great liveaboard experience, having dived from liveaboards myself and loved it. This is why I came up with the SDE Liveaboard Rating* to help you choose the best liveaboard for you.

Customer review from Liveaboard.com

Don't wait BOOK IT now! This was the dive trip I've needed for a long time! Capt. Steven ran a tight ship and put us on the best dive sites available. The DM/instructors Ty and Kristen were friendly, knowledgeable, and took time to make sure you were comfortable in the water. Between dives, Chief Chris kept us fed with amazing meals and snacks from around the world. His meals were thoughtfully planned and he was able to accommodate everyone's dietary requirements without sacrificing flavor. Last but not least, our engineer Olivia kept every aspect of the floating city running in tip top shape. My fellow guests were from across the globe. Each was friendly and welcoming. The comradely we felt by the end of the trip worth ticket price alone. I can't wait to come back and experience the amazing diving, incredible crew hospitality, and friendly guests.”
