Jack Neil Point is a shallow south-side point where coral fingers and sand channels lead towards a small wall. The sheltered setting and gradual depth make this one of the more approachable sites in the batch. Current is usually mild, although boat procedures and buoyancy still matter.

The Bay Islands are known for warm Caribbean water, coral walls and abundant reef life, but each site has its own reason to be included. At Jack Neil Point, divers should slow down enough to notice the reef as well as looking into open water. Turtles, rays, groupers, jacks and barracuda are all possible, while sponges, sea fans, moray eels and smaller reef fish reward a closer look.

Day boats reach Jack Neil Point easily. The benefit of a liveaboard is the option to dive it before other boats arrive, use it as a check dive or return after dark when nocturnal reef life emerges. Night diving may be possible on the wider itinerary, but the crew selects a sheltered site according to conditions; Jack Neil Point should only be treated as the night-dive location when the operator confirms it.

The site combines well with Raggedy Cay and Halliburton Wreck, giving the itinerary a useful change of depth, terrain or diving style. A dive computer and surface marker buoy are sensible throughout the Bay Islands. Nitrox is useful for repetitive diving when the diver is qualified and the operator provides it.
