You are already in dive mode, and you're going to be diving up to 3-4 times a day on the liveaboard, the instructor is right there, and the fills are ready.

You just need your usual dive gear and a computer that can be set to a nitrox percentage. If your current computer only supports air, ask about renting one for the week, or as already suggested, buy one before you go.

Photographers enjoy more time with a subject. Divers who feel tired after several days on air will often feel fresher on Nitrox, which is often the case when you're diving at least twice a day for at least a week.

Can you study before you travel?

Yes, and it is a great idea. Many operators offer e-learning. Finish the theory at home, then do the quick practical and assessment on board. That saves time and leaves more hours for diving and relaxing.

Make sure your dive medical is up to date if you need one. Bring your existing certification card and your logbook.
