A Perfect Getaway. A wonderful week on Princess Haleema with an amazing group of people and boat staff. Whether you are diving or snorkeling, there is something for everyone. There is nothing like being in the water of the Maldives. You’ll see many turtles, sharks, manta rays, and dolphins. I was so fortunate to see a whale shark this week as well. The boat is super comfortable, and the entire staff are always so friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely amazing, and I love that we always eat together as a group. Highly recommend this boat to explore the Maldives. I will be going back again!”

Princess Haleema Liveaboard Review - Expert Guide to Choosing Your Liveaboard

Russell Bowyer here. I've written this Princess Haleema Liveaboard review to help you choose the right liveaboard with confidence. As a qualified diving instructor and Advanced BSAC Diver with 500+ dives worldwide, I've helped countless divers pick their perfect liveaboard - whether it's your first time liveaboard or you're an experienced diver seeking your next adventure.

Read more about Russell's diving experience

My diving experience spans cold-water UK drysuit dives, warm coral reefs in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and South Africa. As a former BSAC Diving Officer and diving instructor, I've taught many people to dive and taken a lot of the divers I taught on their first dive. I also used to organise and run dive trips in the UK, with one of my favourites being expeditions to the Farne Islands to dive with the seals. I've logged every type of dive: decompression stop deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives, night dives, drift dives, and everything in between. This hands-on experience means I know exactly what makes a great liveaboard experience, having dived from liveaboards myself and loved it. This is why I came up with the SDE Liveaboard Rating* to help you choose the best liveaboard for you.

SDE Liveaboard Rating – Underwater Photographer Features for the Princess Haleema Liveaboard

My score of the Princess Haleema liveaboard is 3/5 on the SDE Underwater Photographer Rating, as it has 3 of the 5 key photographer facilities (see below).

The Princess Haleema liveaboard offers a separate rinse tank for underwater cameras, which is crucial for protecting expensive camera equipment from scratches and damage. Also a dedicated camera tank avoids any risks that can arise from sharing space with general diving gear, such as regulators, wetsuits, and heavy fins to avoid contamitation from sand, salt, debris and any chemicals.

In addition, it provides dedicated charging stations for cameras, strobes, torches and laptops so your batteries are always topped up and ready for your next dive. What’s more, it offers WiFi internet onboard as a paid extra, so you can still back up key images and stay connected between dives if you need to.

Below I've listed the 5 key underwater photographer features for the Princess Haleema liveaboard, where for this liveaboard it includes 3 of the 5 key features.

Customer review from Liveaboard.com

Perfect combination of relax & diving. I was sick on the boat, all the guests & staffs & even diving guid care about me. They also provide & share the their own medicine & cures for my throat & seasick & some hurts. It gave me energy to do last dive. It's been most hard liveabaord in my life but It's been also unforgettable liveaboard as much as friendly care & kindness. Besides, Diving is really recommendable. Even with bad weather & waves. They tried their best needless to say considerate dive briefing too. Food is really perfect and you can enjoy your meals with other quests. Even i'm not that big fan of western dish. It was nice and the dessert has been made by chef. awesome. As a asian, a bit sorry about the asian quizine is not ready but Every boat has it's characterics and Not all boat can be perfect. This is diviing boat. not cruise. Stongly recommendable diving with reliable guide. visit sand beach more than once, you can enjoy even after last diving. Want to go again (with a little some food :-)) I missed already.”

Recommended for: planned active diving, food, fun & cozy staff.

All liveaboard reviews on this site are written based on my real diving experience, from hundreds of dives across reefs, wreck dives, shark dives, deep dives, night dives and drysuit diving.

I’ve cold water dived in the UK, warm water dived from many of the Caribbean islands, dived both the east and west coasts of Australia, the Red Sea, South Africa and dived the east and west coasts of the USA, and I’ve also spent time and enjoyed diving from liveaboards myself too.

My aim; to always give you clear, honest, practical advice, so you can book the right dive boat and enjoy the best possible liveaboard diving holiday, be that on the Princess Haleema or any other liveaboard I've reviewed on Scuba Diving Earth.
