Wonderful trip on a smaller boat that shows its age. This was a fantastic trip with wonderful people. The crew is fantastic. The diving was great. The food was really good. They even made me a cake for my birthday. 🎂🙂 Visiting empty, remote island beaches and a village were also wonderful. I have no complaints. It was a perfect trip for me. The con of the boat is that the rooms are quite small. I was lucky to have a cabin to myself so it worked out fine, but if I had needed to share it would have been far too cramped. The lower cabins are quite dark and even smaller! That being said, if you have your own cabin it's perfect. I loved this trip.”

Shakti Liveaboard Review - Expert Guide to Choosing Your Liveaboard

Russell Bowyer here. I've written this Shakti Liveaboard review to help you confidently choose and book the right liveaboard. As a qualified diving instructor and Advanced BSAC Diver with 500+ dives worldwide, I've helped countless divers pick their perfect liveaboard - whether it's your first time liveaboard or you're an experienced diver seeking your next adventure.

Read more about Russell's diving experience

My diving experience spans cold-water UK drysuit dives, warm coral reefs in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and South Africa. As a former BSAC Diving Officer and diving instructor, I've taught many people to dive and taken a lot of the divers I taught on their first dive. I also used to organise and run dive trips in the UK, with one of my favourites being expeditions to the Farne Islands to dive with the seals. I've logged every type of dive: decompression stop deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives, night dives, drift dives, and everything in between. This hands-on experience means I know exactly what makes a great liveaboard experience, having dived from liveaboards myself and loved it. This is why I came up with the SDE Liveaboard Rating* to help you choose the best liveaboard for you.

Customer review from Liveaboard.com

Recommended for: The three best things were the diving, the crew, and the comradery of the guests.
