My diving experience spans cold-water UK drysuit dives, warm coral reefs in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and South Africa. As a former BSAC Diving Officer, I've led dive training and operations. I've logged every type of dive: decompression stop deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives, night dives, drift dives, and everything in between. This hands-on experience means I know exactly what makes a great liveaboard experience.

Customer review from Liveaboard.com

Stunning Underwater Creatures Everywhere You Looked. It was an excellent trip! So many nudis that I'd never seen. The whaleshark dive at Lila was worth the added fee. The thresher shark dive was amazing. Try to go EARLY in the day before the day trip boats arrive. Serious appreciation for the dive guides ability to spot Shaun the Sheep and pygmy seahorses! Sometimes even with them pointing the nudi out I still wasn't sure what I was looking at. But the spotter board definitely helped id the creatures. Dive guide dressing up as Santa for the Christmas morning dive was really fun and our group all wore Santa hats for the dive. I'll be reviewing my photos and videos for a long, long time. The crew was great at helping with gear and hot towels. The food in general was very good (chili chop chop chop and Philippine STEAM RICE #IYKYK), but over 10 days did get a bit repetitive.”

Recommended for: Excellent dive guides. Healthy reefs. Thresher sharks.

All Philippines's Discounted Liveaboard Deals & Last Minute Discounts

All liveaboard reviews on this site are written based on my real diving experience, from hundreds of dives across reefs, wreck dives, shark dives, deep dives, night dives and drysuit diving.

I’ve cold water dived in the UK, warm water dived from many of the Caribbean islands, dived both the east and west coasts of Australia, the Red Sea, South Africa and dived the east and west coasts of the USA, and I’ve also spent time and enjoyed diving from liveaboards myself too.

My aim; to always give you clear, honest, practical advice, so you can book the right dive boat and enjoy the best possible liveaboard diving holiday, be that on the Philippine Siren or any other liveaboard I've reviewed on Scuba Diving Earth.
