Exceptional Diving and Liveaboard Experience. Naturally all of the great diving, numerous whale sharks, several mantas, lots of sharks, schools of barracuda and jacks. The crew was very good and the fellow divers were fun to know. The end of the trip barbeque on the rear deck was a hoot, live singing and just plain fun, lots of diver participation. Jan did a great job of organization.”

Dolphin Liveaboard Review - Expert Guide to Choosing Your Liveaboard

Russell Bowyer here. I've written this Dolphin Liveaboard review to help you confidently choose and book the right liveaboard. As a qualified diving instructor and Advanced BSAC Diver with 500+ dives worldwide, I've helped countless divers pick their perfect liveaboard - whether it's your first time liveaboard or you're an experienced diver seeking your next adventure.

Read more about Russell's diving experience

My diving experience spans cold-water UK drysuit dives, warm coral reefs in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and South Africa. As a former BSAC Diving Officer and diving instructor, I've taught many people to dive and taken a lot of the divers I taught on their first dive. I also used to organise and run dive trips in the UK, with one of my favourites being expeditions to the Farne Islands to dive with the seals. I've logged every type of dive: decompression stop deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives, night dives, drift dives, and everything in between. This hands-on experience means I know exactly what makes a great liveaboard experience, having dived from liveaboards myself and loved it. This is why I came up with the SDE Liveaboard Rating* to help you choose the best liveaboard for you.

Customer review from Liveaboard.com

The most wonderful dive experience we could ever had. The best decision I ever made. We were welcomed by the crew and the owner who joined the trip with us and from there it just got better. Our VIP room was spacious and super confortable. The food serviced was just like the one you would get from a restaurant, fresh and delicious. Our diver master, Bong, was knowledgeable and knew exactly where to take us. Ohr first dive, we saw a beautiful whale shark just in front of us. The whole trip was just amazing. The walls are colorful and full of live. A big thank you to Kevin who dove close to us all the time to make sure we were all safe. After each dive, I would just lay down in the 3rd deck until the next dive, and the crew would bring me drinks and even a pillow. They were all so attentive and kind. Thank you all for making our experience the best we could have it.”
