Damai I Liveaboard Review - Expert Guide to Choosing Your Liveaboard

Russell Bowyer here. I've written this Damai I Liveaboard review to help you choose the right liveaboard with confidence. As a qualified diving instructor and Advanced BSAC Diver with 500+ dives worldwide, I've helped countless divers pick their perfect liveaboard - whether it's your first time liveaboard or you're an experienced diver seeking your next adventure.

Read more about Russell's diving experience

My diving experience spans cold-water UK drysuit dives, warm coral reefs in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and South Africa. As a former BSAC Diving Officer and diving instructor, I've taught many people to dive and taken a lot of the divers I taught on their first dive. I also used to organise and run dive trips in the UK, with one of my favourites being expeditions to the Farne Islands to dive with the seals. I've logged every type of dive: decompression stop deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives, night dives, drift dives, and everything in between. This hands-on experience means I know exactly what makes a great liveaboard experience, having dived from liveaboards myself and loved it. This is why I came up with the SDE Liveaboard Rating* to help you choose the best liveaboard for you.

Customer review from Liveaboard.com

A fabulous week in Raja Ampat. This boat trip was made by the crew, absolutely wonderful and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Arriving back at the boat to a song each time was so unexpectedly good. Kudos to the chefs, food was amazing! Our host, a swarthy Spanish raconteur, made the dinners very enjoyable, and overall the week just flew by without a hitch.”

Recommended for: The crew were AMAZING!!. The food was fantastic and so much of it. We were the only people in all but one location for the whole trip.
