Thomas Canyon is a reef-and-cavern dive in Straits of Tiran, Egypt, within an area known for current-swept reefs and deep channels. The precise entry point and route depend on current, weather and the cruise director’s assessment, so an itinerary reference should not be treated as a guarantee that every departure will dive the site.

Any cavern, canyon or swim-through should only be entered where the guide confirms that the route, light and conditions are suitable. Maintain careful buoyancy, avoid contact with coral and do not enter a restricted overhead environment without the appropriate training and equipment.

A liveaboard is the practical way to combine this site with several dives across Straits of Tiran.
