Bartolome Punta Liveaboard Dive Site

Punta Bartolomé sits beside one of the Galápagos Islands’ most recognisable volcanic landscapes. Underwater, lava rock, sand and reef patches create a varied central-islands dive rather than the exposed blue-water diving found at Darwin and Wolf. Sea lions, green turtles, rays and reef fish are regular attractions, while Galápagos penguins may be seen around the shoreline.

Conditions are normally more forgiving than at the remote northern islands, although current and visibility still change with tide and season. The cooler, nutrient-rich months can bring thermoclines and reduced clarity, so a 5–7mm wetsuit is sensible. Divers should follow the guide closely and avoid disturbing penguins or resting animals.
