    “It was the right moment to disagree the Rolling Stonesbecause we have got the satisfacton! 1. Jan van Beelen, because everytime he was gentle, smart and keep on smiling. 2. The dive with a swarm of thousands of sardines in Panagsama. 3.     Apo Reef is a diverse coral reef which is roughly 34 sq. km. The reef has a shallow lagoon with a depth of 2-10 meters and is surrounded by mangrove forest.

    It is this mangrove forest that serves as source of food, nursery and spawning ground for many coastal and marine species. It is also a bird sanctuary too. of birds.

    Tubbataha Reef is known for its extraordinary abundant marine life and lies in the middle of the Sulu Sea.

    The reef is approximately 50km southeast of Puerto Princesa City in Palawan, which is the most western province of the Philippines. Scuba divers enjoy breath-taking drop-offs and can dive on three atolls.

    Diving there offers the chance to see whales, dolphins, sharks, turtles and Napoleon wrasse. The Tubbataha Reef supports over 360 species of coral and almost 700 species of fish. into the open ocean.

    Article written by Russell Bowyer who has been a scuba diver since diving on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia in 1989. After his first dive he trained as a BSAC diver in the UK. He attained his Diver Leader certification with BSAC. He then went on to become a scuba diving instructor, teaching others how to dive and was voted as Diving Officer and Treasurer for the Saffron Walden BSAC club too. Russell has dived all over the world, including the UK, on liveaboards in the Red Sea, the Caribbean, South Africa and the USA. Russell is experienced in all dive types, including drift diving, deep dives that involved decompression stops and recreational dives too.
