Scuba Diving Liveaboards Caribbean
Do you want warm water, easy vibes, and big wildlife in one trip?
The Caribbean is perfect for that. It has clear seas, colourful reefs, famous wrecks, and sharks. A Caribbean liveaboards will let you see more in less time, with comfy rooms, good food, and lots of dives each day.
What makes Caribbean liveaboards so good?
Dive liveaboards move you between islands and remote reefs without the daily boat rides from shore.
You wake up right on the dive site, which means more dives and less faff. This region is the home of recreational liveaboards, so trips are well run and easy to enjoy.
When is the best time to go to the Caribbean?
You can dive the Caribbean all year.
Many divers like late November to May for calmer seas, and to avoid hurricane season.
The water is usually 26° to 29°C (79°-84°), with the clearest views at remote sites visited by liveaboards.
If you travel in hurricane season from June to early November, trip insurance is a smart idea. But make sure your travel insurance offers specific "dive and traverl" coverage, or take out specialised coverage for the cost of the liveaboard trip.
Which Caribbean island has the best scuba diving?
It depends on what you love.
- If it's sharks and adrenalin? Pick the Bahamas for tiger sharks, hammerheads, and reef sharks at famous spots like Tiger Beach.
- You love epic walls and crystal water? Choose the Cayman Islands for Bloody Bay Wall and the USS Kittiwake.
- For wild, unspoiled reefs? Cuba’s Jardines de la Reina is a protected wonder with rich marine life, which even includes crocodiles.
- Big blue scenery and calm garden reefs? Turks and Caicos delivers walls, sharks, and seasonal whales.
- If you want bucket list wildlife? The Dominican Republic has special trips to snorkel with humpback whales.

How you save money on ther cost of your Caribbean liveaboard trip
Want to save more on your Caribbean dive trip? Start by shortlisting a few liveaboards that fit your dates and budget. Then scroll up to the discounted deals table and look for the biggest savings for your week.
Already set on an island? Use the country filter in the table to show only deals for that location so you are not wading through everything else. Sort by price or percentage saved to spot the best value fast.
Check what is included in each offer such as park fees, nitrox, and transfers so you can compare like for like. If your dates are flexible, peek at the weeks before and after. A small shift can mean a much lower price.
