Night diving vs day diving

Night diving vs day diving, there’s quite a difference. This may be pretty obvious, but what are the differences between diving at night vs diving during the day?

  • The sea life you see will be different, as the fish that are active during the day time are different to those that are active at night.
  • The really obvious difference is during a night dive it’s dark and you’ll need a torch.
  • On night dives you should limit your depth for safety reasons.
  • On night dives it’s not recommend to dive in a drift.
  • It’s always good to recky the dive site in daylight before you dive it at night. So you’ll get to see the same dive site in the light and at night too.
