Gordo Banks is known for deep offshore seamounts famous for schooling hammerheads and other pelagic visitors. Divers should be comfortable with the listed entry method, maintain controlled buoyancy and carry an appropriate surface marker. Offshore position, depth and current make experienced boat support essential. A liveaboard can arrive early, wait for the safest current window and repeat the seamount without a long return to port; this is not a night-dive site.
