El Fanous is a reef dive in Hurghada, Egypt, within an area known for island reefs, coral gardens and wrecks. The precise entry point and route depend on current, weather and the cruise director’s assessment, so an itinerary reference should not be treated as a guarantee that every departure will dive the site.

The most productive side of the reef changes with the water movement. Divers should remain close to the guide, control their depth and be prepared for a negative entry or blue-water pickup where the briefing requires it.
