Amazing experience. I had a great time on the Giamani. There aren't a lot of cabins so diving is never crowded. Food was great as well. They keep the diving groups small and can really cater to whatever you want to do.”

Giamani Liveaboard Review - Expert Guide to Choosing Your Liveaboard

Russell Bowyer here. I've written this Giamani Liveaboard review to help you choose the right liveaboard with confidence. As a qualified diving instructor and Advanced BSAC Diver with 500+ dives worldwide, I've helped countless divers pick their perfect liveaboard - whether it's your first time liveaboard or you're an experienced diver seeking your next adventure.

Read more about Russell's diving experience

My diving experience spans cold-water UK drysuit dives, warm coral reefs in the Caribbean, the Red Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and South Africa. As a former BSAC Diving Officer and diving instructor, I've taught many people to dive and taken a lot of the divers I taught on their first dive. I also used to organise and run dive trips in the UK, with one of my favourites being expeditions to the Farne Islands to dive with the seals. I've logged every type of dive: decompression stop deep dives, wreck dives, shark dives, night dives, drift dives, and everything in between. This hands-on experience means I know exactly what makes a great liveaboard experience, having dived from liveaboards myself and loved it. This is why I came up with the SDE Liveaboard Rating* to help you choose the best liveaboard for you.

SDE Liveaboard Rating – Technical Diving Features for the Giamani Liveaboard

My score of the Giamani liveaboard is 3/3 on the SDE Tech Diving Rating, as it has 3 of the 3 key technical diving features (see below).

If you plan to do technical diving, the Giamani supports tech divers, but before you finalise your trip, check the typical dive depths, available gases, and whether stage and decompression cylinders are supported on your chosen itinerary. In addition, If you dive with a rebreather the Giamani provides rebreather support, but it’s worth confirming in advance which rebreathers are supported and whether oxygen fills, sorb availability, and bailout requirements are onboard, because this can vary by region and itinerary.

If you like to dive sidemount style the Giamani supports sidemount diving, but when you plan your dives check the boat’s cylinder options and the deck set-up, so your configuration is comfortable and properly supported for the dives planned.

Below I've listed the 3 key tech diving features for the Giamani liveaboard, where for this liveaboard it includes 3 of the 3 key features.

Customer review from Liveaboard.com

An Exceptional Diving Experience. Had an absolutely wonderful liveaboard experience. The crew has been together for years and are a well-oiled machine and adept at handling any and all experiences. The boat was immaculately maintained, the private chef provided a plethora of culinary options, and the dive sites were fantastic. We dove a wide range of caves, caverns, ship wrecks, and multiple reefs and are leaving better divers and more in love with scuba diving than before. We could not have had a more positive experience and we will absolutely be back to dive again and extend our time on this boat and have already recommended this boat and experience to other divers.”
