“Excellent trip. My wife and I took the Aqua tiki for our honeymoon. Diving: As above challenging exciting diving, x2 per day with steel tanks so duration was ~1 hour each. We saw so many sharks reefs, black tips, nurses and lemons, mantas, rays. A real “big stuff” location rather than macro. Most dives were drift dives. Confident dive team, one guide, one additional staff member diving and the skipper up top in the boat. Water temp 28C in May. Vis ~30m each day. Location: like a postcard, visited x4 atolls, this boat actually sails between atolls, not motoring everywhere Food: really good. French/Polynesian. Crew: exceptional, great English, really made an effort.” Recommended for: Challenging exciting diving, awesome french mixed with local food, friendly crew.

“A lot of fun on a nice boat. Visiting the villages close to where we were moored was fun. Diving was good and visibility was generally very good – not particularly memorable diving compared to other destinations. The ship prepared meals were excellent and hostess was very friendly. Having whales and dolphins swimming around the pass we were moored in was cool. Captain was friendly and accommodating. Excellent trip, even for my non-diving wife. We will book another trip with the Aqua Tiki company in the future.” Recommended for: location, crew, weather.

Article written by Russell Bowyer who has been a scuba diver since diving on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia in 1989. After his first dive he trained as a BSAC diver in the UK. He attained his Diver Leader certification with BSAC.
