Customer Reviews of Liveaboard
Customer ReviewsThe Amaya Explorer liveaboard customer reviews listed here have been chosen for you to get a feel for the scuba diving experience you'll get.
Customer Review
”Fantastic boat, crew and location (Komodo). When we failed to see Manta’s at two hopeful spots, the staff changed up our last dive so we could try again (unfortunately still not our lucky day). The food quality was fantastic and staff very accommodating. There were some nights where the boat rocking made it tough to sleep so definitely make the most of the calm patches during the day to get a nap or two in. The diving was incredible and staff knowledgeable about the area and dive sites. There were times where as a group we would have preferred to be earlier as were last/not first to hikes or dive sites but wasn’t a big deal. As a vegetarian there were plenty of options although it was always the food to run out first given non vegetarians would eat both options so would bring some additional snacks just in case.” Recommended for: Staff, guests, location.
Customer Review ByOlivia L, from: New Zealand scored the Amaya Explorer 9.6 out of 10; Review courtesy of Liveaboard.com, for more reviews and information click here: Amaya Explorer.
”Awesome first live aboard experience. I really enjoyed this trip in Komodo. The scenery is spectacular and it was a privilege to see a Komodo dragon. The Amaya is a beautiful boat, plenty of shady spots on deck to read and relax between dives (or sun yourself if you wish). The staff were awesome – so friendly and helpful. The food was great – I can’t believe the quality and variety produced in that little galley. We had a couple of special dinners on the deck that were wonderful. The diving that I managed to do was very enjoyable (sadly a cold interfered and I missed some dives) – our dive guide Wilson was excellent and helped us keep the dives appropriate for our skill level. I would love to go back and visit Raja with the Amaya crew one day. Thank you to you all!” Recommended for: The staff, the food, the location.
