Galapagos scuba diving liveaboard - what to expect...Hammerhead sharks galore

The Galapagos Islands are one of the most beautiful regions on the planet! On the bucket list of many a scuba diver, due to the rich and abundant sea life there.

The Galapagos Islands are part of the country of Ecuador. The islands are situated 1,000 kilometers (605 miles) west of northern South America in the Pacific Ocean.

The islands themselves are known for their large number of endemic species which were studied by Charles Darwin. It was Darwin’s observations that contributed to the inception of Darwin’s theory of evolution by means of natural selection.

But it’s not just the islands that have an abundance of life. The rich waters around the Galapagos Islands are a fertile region that attract an enormous number of fish and other sea creatures.

This is what makes the Galapagos Islands one of the top places for scuba divers and is the perfect destination for a dive liveaboard cruise.

The Galapagos Islands are one of the best places in the world to see hundreds of schooling hammerheads.
